WOYWW 417 # What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

Hi Workdesk friends.
Here we are for another Wednesday at the Workdesk.
I am here again to show you:

"What's on my Workdesk this Wednesday".

If you don't know what this is all about then please visit the

Stamping Ground, our host Julia will explain.

So here is my desk for today!

I'm working on a journal page using up some old Car Tax Discs.
They used to come in lovely colours and these are all purple that I'm using today.

Once I'd stuck them onto the pages I covered them with clear Gesso and went over them with a stencilled design and sprayed them with ink.
Obviously this is not complete but will post it again when it'd finished.
I actually have a journal full of half finished pages. I think I am obsessed with backgrounds!

My ATCs are just starting to arrive and here are the first ones from:
BJ, Annie (Wipso), Jo (Twiglet), Shaz Brookes and Anne (Copper Beach).
Thank you so much ladies they are all gorgeous xXx

So that's me done for today.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will pop over and join in the visits around the other desks.

I'm off now to see what everyone else is up to.
Have a great woyww
and
happy crafting,

Angela x

Masterboard Monday with Seth Apter stamps and dies.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.

I've been working on cards for men using some more of the stamped backgrounds I made using Seth Apter's stamps.

These were the backgrounds made earlier:

I took two of these, then cut them into squares and positioned them closely in the order I wanted them so that I could stamp on them with clear Perfect Medium ink then heat embossed them in gold.

Once I was happy with this I attached them to a sheet of white card and trimmed them to the size I wanted them.

I used the star die to create the embellishments and added brads before mounting it onto my chosen mats.

The sentiment is a die by Memory Box.

So there you have it.

I would love to hear your comments.

Many thanks for stopping by and happy crafting,

Angela x

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

Lots of lovely walks in the park as the weather has been nice.
The Cygnets are growing though we have lost one but the other four are doing well.

As are the baby Water Hens.

So much so that they were rushing around so much that I had trouble photographing them!

There they are! No they're gone again!

And the Goslings which seem to grow over-night.

 Crazy paving is growing too.

Runners were having a good time on Saturday.

Unusually for me I was early again as I needed to take my car to the garage as its having a new engine but at 45 years of age! I guess it deserves one.

This is her.

She's a lovely old girl and we've had this car since it was about eight years old so it's part of the family really.

Look she's smiling at you!

And for any of my American friends you may recognise this car which sometimes visits down the street.

 So that's all for today.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.

The tutorial for making the card is here.

Text stamp used which is still on my desk.

Just a little peek, envelopes for my ATCs.
That's all you're getting or it will spoil the surprise but you can be sure there will be a Masterboard involved.

I do have a few left if anyone else would like to swap.

Finally I though you might like this if you've not seen it already.

Crafty Cardmakers Challenge 189 # Floral Profusion Masterboard.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Hi! back again to tell you that it's time for another challenge over
at Crafty Cardmakers.

Jackie is hosting today and our challenge is 'Floral Profusion'.

As usual you can enter anything you fancy, it doesn't have to just be cards, as long as it meets the challenge, and doesn't exceed the 15 total challenges entered rule!

Hope you will join in.
And here is my project for the challenge:

I started this Masterboard using an A3 piece of card that I had coloured using Distress inks and then applied 3D gel through a stencil to add texture.

Stencil by Imagination Crafts.

More texture.
If you have the new Distress Oxide Re-inkers this is one way you can use them by applying a couple of drops to your texture gels.

If you make sure they are really well shaken, you only need two drops to get really good colour mixing.

I used a Kim Dellow stencil by Paper Artsy.

Finished of with some text stamping in matching colours.

I cut the masterboard to size and distressed the edges and rubbed on some Treasure Gold to the raised texture, then mounted it onto matching card.
The flowers and butterfly were made with paper from an old book coloured with oxide inks and then stamped and heat embossed with the Paper Artsy flowers by Kim Dellow.
I generally use WOW! Clear Gloss Regular embossing powder as it's nice and fine and comes in big pots as I like to stamp with colour and emboss clear so there is plenty to go at.
I gave the butterfly a double layer to give it dimension.

The sentiment is also by Paper Artsy: elenazinski Art.

To complete the design I added coloured pearls and gems.

I hope you will be able to pop over to see what the rest of the DT have been up to and maybe join in the challenge.
I look forward to seeing what you come up with too.
 Happy crafty card making.

Friday Fun Day with Smiles.

Welcome to all my new followers, hope you enjoy the journey.
Angela here again to show you what I've been up to this week.

In the park everyone seems to be doing well.

More work on the bandstand.

Cygnets are getting bigger.

They are so sweet.

A bit of tree carving going on here.

Lovely patterns made by the trees dropping bud bits into the dyke.

More work on the visitors centre.

This was Sunday morning, no sign of life but think they'd had a good night by the look of the cans and the following day they were gone and I'm pleased to report that they had taken all the rubbish with them so that's good.

And now something I had never seen before!
We had always been led to believe there were Pike in the lake but never seen them and today the fishermen actually caught this one just as we were walking towards them.

It was big!

I was really impressed with how careful the fisherman was at removing the hook from the fish.

And then back in the pond.

Have a great weekend everyone and
 thanks for stopping by.

And if you would like some more smiles you just need to pop over to see what our other friends have been doing this week at Annie's for
"This Week's Smiles" and you can also share your  smiles too.
